We get out of New York City and head to Washington DC by airship! Alex is dragged into a tangle of cases, and Sorsha starts taking her role as girlfriend seriously. Lots of fun and action.
The story line is great. The characters are full of personality. A magical and detective ride that’s hard to put down.

In this seventh entry, Alex Lockerby tackles three different cases in Washington DC involving a senator’s murder, a theft at the Smithsonian, and a kidnapped professor. Historical figures like Patton and Bill Donovan appear. Recommended.
Aside from a couple of typos, this series is perfect. If you enjoy this genre or even if you think you don’t, Dan’s books are a must-read. On to book 8!
I can't put these books down. I'm eager to see how Alex saves Sorcha and what happens in the next installment.
This series is one of the most enjoyable I’ve read in a while. A gritty 1930s detective/magic fusion done right with compelling characters, believable world-building, and evolving plotlines. Highly recommended for fans of fantasy and detective fiction.
