This takes two genres of story and mashes them together; a steampunk tale and a western. All too often the steampunk tale is set in Victorian England or a reasonable facsimile. In my mind the western and a steampunk story are a better fit for each other. And the author fits the two together like hand and glove.
It's got Wild Bill Hickock as a sword slinging, fast shooting superhuman lawman who flies around in a airship piloted by an organic computer named Sylvia. Plus it's got techno-organic monsters, land going aligators, and vampire-zombie hybrids. Hey what's not to like about that?
It's a story that both adults and YA's alike will enjoy.
